Campus Facilities
The backdrop for this music-making experience
is the picturesque Butterfly Valley, located only
45 minutes from Guangzhou and one hour from the
border with Hong Kong. Surrounded by hills and
lakes, Butterfly Valley offers extensive recreational
facilities (jogging tracks, tennis courts and
swimming pools) and places of interest.
At the heart of Butterfly Valley is the Butterfly
Valley Concert Hall, a 600-seat purpose-built
hall where the majority of CISMA's orchestral,
ensemble and solo performances take place. At
the CISMA Student Centre, there are also spaces
for orchestral sectional training and chamber
music classes, ensemble practice rooms, piano
rooms and numerous smaller individual teaching
and practice rooms. There is also a music library
which provides resources for CISMA students.
Administrative offices for registration, student
services and accommodation services are conveniently
located within the Butterfly Valley Hotel and
adjacent buildings. The luxurious Butterfly
Valley Hotel will be used exclusively as residential
accommodation for all CISMA students. Please
