Piano

The Academy offers a piano programme headed by Gary Graffman from the Curtis Institute of Music in Phildelphia, who will be joined by Alexis Golovine, who teaches at the Geneva Conservatory. It will provide selected piano students of exceptional talent the highest level of individual tuition. All piano students will have the opportunity of attending or being selected on the basis of merit to participate as playing candidates in masterclasses and studio classes conducted by experienced teachers. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with other instrumentalists on chamber music projects.

Applicants for admission to the Piano Programme must submit recommendations from their Conservatoires/universities together with reference letters from their teachers and other musicians of good standing who can provide valid comments on the applicants’ quality of performance. Selection will be based on these recommendations, references and any video/audio materials submitted with the applications. No personal audition will be arranged for piano applicants.
